By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

These terms cover only your use of this website. When we work for a client, the written proposal and contract for that work set the terms, and these website terms do not apply to it. Our privacy notice and cookies page explain how we handle personal data on the site.

Using the site

You are welcome to use the site to find out about us and our services, read our articles and contact us. Please do not:

  • use it in a way that breaks the law or is fraudulent
  • try to get into parts of the site, our server or our systems that are not public
  • send viruses or other harmful code, or try to overload or disrupt the site
  • send spam or false details through the enquiry form

Any part of the site may change, or be suspended or removed, without notice. We do not promise that it will be available at all times or work without errors.

General information, not advice

Our pages and articles give general information about automations, AI tools, websites and the systems behind sales and operations. None of it is legal, tax, financial, data protection or other professional advice, and none of it is advice about your own business. Get advice that fits your situation before you act on something you read here.

We work to keep the site accurate. Tool features, prices and rules change often, though, so check the date on a page or article. We do not promise that everything on the site is complete, correct or up to date.

Prices and quotes

Prices on the site are a guide to our published prices. They are not an offer that you can accept by contacting us.

Work starts only once we have both agreed a written proposal and a contract. The proposal sets out the scope, price and timings. The contract sets out the terms. If anything on the site differs from your proposal or contract, the proposal and contract apply.

On our UK pages, prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not registered for VAT, so we do not add VAT to them. Prices on our US pages are in US dollars (USD). A price applies only in the currency shown, and we do not convert between currencies.

Any guarantee described on the site applies only on the conditions shown with it. Your contract sets out its full terms.

Intellectual property

The text, design, images, diagrams, logo and code on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Some parts belong to others and we use them under licence. Our fonts, for example, are used under the SIL Open Font Licence.

You may view the site, print or download pages for your own reference, and share links to them. Please do not copy our text, images, logo or code to present as your own, or use them in a way that suggests we work with you or recommend you, unless we have agreed in writing.

Other companies' names and products mentioned on the site, such as the tools we write about, belong to their owners. Mentioning them does not mean those companies work with us or endorse us.

Links on the site go to other websites, such as tool makers, official guidance and Companies House. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement.

Linking to any public page of our site is fine, as long as you do it fairly and lawfully and do not suggest a connection or endorsement that does not exist.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.

Apart from that, the site costs nothing to use and gives general information only. If you use it for your business, we are not responsible for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on its content, as far as the law allows. That includes loss of profit, sales, business, data or goodwill, and any indirect loss.

If you use the site as a private individual, these terms do not take away any of your legal rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

The law of England and Wales governs these terms, and the courts of England and Wales can decide any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland and use the site as a consumer, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
